ok i put my truck into 4X4 low, and now it wont come out is there any way to manually take it out???? can i pull any plugs on the transfer care or anything so i can at least drive my truck any help thanks
If fuse #17 is good, check the relays # 40 and 41. They are in seperate small black boxes beside the Power Disp Box. There are two little blocks with covers on them, not sure which is which, but the others or for trailer tow. You can switch them around and see if that fixes your problem, then figure which is bad.
Time to get under there and check the shift motor. You can unlock your hubs if you need to drive it. There have been cases of shift motor coming loose and even the transfer case coming loose from tranny.
so how should i go about checking the shift motor.... what should i look for etc...
Visual check it for tightness and make sure you didn't pull the wires off. It's hard to see and you may have to just feel around and make sure it's not loose.

If it's working right, it won't matter. Unlocking the hubs will lessen you chance of damaging something if you have to drive it. You checked fuse #17 under the hood, switched the relays around and still nothing? Is you 4x4 light on? Are you sure it's in 4x4? Have you tried switching while tranny is in neutral?
