I have an 86 Bronco and am thinking of getting a C6 to rebuild and swap into it. How will I ID a C6 at a junk yard? What vehicles and years should I be looking for? Is the only way to see if it is in decent condition to check the fluid?
The C6 has a one piece body and bell, and is available in all three engine family bell patterns. The C4 has a bolt on bell and is a small block pattern only I6, 302, 351W.
