Door ajar Light on........
Noticed it first thing this morning. Also the radio doesnt cut off when you open the door, any door. The key fobs dont work either. At first I figured the drivers door switch since its used the most. Replaced it but no change. The only code in the GEM was p1876 transfer 2wd (wtf?). Only had a short amount of time to mess with it, anyone ever have this problem?

Jim, can you fix my spelling on the title?

My first guess would have been the switch,but since you replaced it....

Bump to the top ,and a sub.

Usually spraying the door switches will fix the ajar light, but the radio and fob thing sound GEM related.

I agree almost seem to be very close to the water in the GEM issue.

Has it been raining there Darrell?

No rain as of late. Had windsheild replaced about 2 yrs ago because it was sandblasted. Anyone with AE figure out how to monitor the GEM?

Spray the latches with WD-40, and let it run down to the drain holes. Your radio works till you open the door. Spray and go.

Rick, the radio does not cut off when the door is opened. I think I found the tab on AE to monitor the GEM but do you know if you can turn each item on/off with it?

2002's have a touchy GEM. I am betting that's what it is Darrel. Let us know what you find out with AE.

I thought it was '02's with the GEM issue. I know I have seen that more than once Jim, but you are probably right. I am more than likely perpetuating bad information.

Did you try the WD-40??? If the switch is sticking, I would understand the radio would stay on.

I agree with Rick, spray ALL the latches good with WD-40 ang go from there. That may at least narrow down your problem.

If AE works like I think it should it'll tell me which door, but that dont explain why my fobs dont work.
