Also, they aren't always available for purchase.
They hold out for good aluminum. They won't stamp them out of crappy material.

Yea, they are.
Look around here for a thread about these grilles.
Someone recently had a post asking about their availability.
The O.P. referred to them as "DC" grilles.
There may be some first hand info about their quality and availability in that thread.

Edit: Oops, I just did a search and found that you participated in that thread.
Guess you knew about it, eh? Oh well.
