Little Whine?

My truck has been whining a bit at low speeds, like coming up the hill on the dirveway (about 5-10 mph). I hope it's just a belt or something, is this something to worry about?
Thanks

Check your power steering. Be sure to use ATF to top up the reservoir, not power steering fluid. Our trucks use ATF in the power steering.

I hope it is not your trans. Is there any ATF leaking anywhere?

Hey Rick,
Sorry for the delay. How would I know if it's the trans?

Hey Jack. Sorry, been a busy weekend. Can you describe the sound a little better?

No problem Well, if I'm going slow, about 10 mph, especially uphill or offroad, I hear a whining sound. It's not really high-pitched, just sort of a whining that corresponds to how much I push on the pedal. If I speed up much, or slow down much, it goes away. Oh, and no ATF leak as far as I can tell.
Thanks

Are you sure it's not your regular turbo whistle you are hearing?
