It just dawned on me that I didn't thank you for sending the back up cameras. Thank you!!
One is going into my '05 Excursion & one is going into the main cabin of my 50' Bertram sport fishing boat. With a slight modification of the bracket, the camera will be in the main cabin so I can see what's going on with my kids from the bridge. They will occasionally go inside & watch movies when were on a long trip & I'll be able to see when they go out the door to come up to the bridge. I can also keep an eye on things when we have parties & people get a little tipsy.
I have a Garmin HD system on my boat and a marine camera that overlooks the transom. Would use one of these for the salon area - how do you get around the needing to be in "reverse" part - or is that not an issue? Is the cam / display always on for below deck?
I tried to PM you on this but it said you don't receive those.

All you have to do is wire it to a switch and 12 volts. You could turn the switch on at start of trip or you could take the trouble to run the switch to where you would have the monitor. I'm going to do the same in my Excursion so I can have it on while I'm travelling.

Exactly! I'm running it from a 12v "accessory" switch in the dash.
