I know this has been discussed many times, and I was going to try and figure it out on my own. But I am out of ideas. About a week ago now, my AC stopped blowing through the vents and only on my windshield. I unhooked the vacuum line going to the 4 wheel drive, because it doesn't work. I also have a boost leak which I found out that wouldn't cause the vacuum leak. So my next question is,what do I check for? I also need to replace my 6637 in a Bad WAY. lol I went on a trip last week, pulling 3 4 wheelers and my EGT's got high on me. And today I noticed that I am only pushing 20 or so on the boost gauge.
You need to make sure you vacuum pump is working, then check the canister for cracks or holes. Next you need to check the vacuum line going to the HVAC controls. Hopefully it's not under the dash, but it could be under there as well.
You can hear it. Key on, engine off, it should run for a few seconds to build vacuum. If it runs a lot, then you have a leak, if it don't run at all, then you have a bad fuse or pump or even a bad connection.
