Barry... a diesel event is the LAST thing my wife wants to ever do... she tolerates my involvement, but otherwise just doesn;t want anything to do with it herself. I'm painting this as a way for me to have special time with the boys, and am going to commit to being back for dinner the night before our anniversary day, which is probably my only chance for getting agreement at all. I love her to death and wouldn't trade her for anything in the world, but this is an area that she and I just don't share an interest in.

As it stands right now, though, I just snagged the last available cabin, and it's a single, so we'll be bringing a cot if my oldest son is actually able to be there with us, and I know that he'll want to be there really bad.

Your wife and mine would get along just fine. Jill's opinion of a truck is it's just another means of transportation and nothing else. That being said, she is looking forward to meeting all these people and their wives, if for nothing else, to see who I am spending so much time with. She does her share of tolerating my involvement as well. I did promise her, no drag racing, no dynos and no major purchases while we're there.

Yeah, I'm already thinking I will be the oldest one there, so don't rub it in too much.

Wow the things you miss in a weekend in Severville LOL. Well I am on the list and will be there I got cabin 76 down in the area of 4. There was one left when I talked to the woman at the desk today. I was going to take pictures of the campground but my camera was deadm Neal 97 F-250 has taken some pictures and will post them up soon. This is a great campground with plenty of room and plenty of things near by even a carwash down the street!

This event is shaping up to be a great family oriented event there will be plenty to do for both the kids and the dads, even the moms . Can't wait til August.

I think a bunch of the PA guys are gonna be heading down 81, it looks like the best way from what I have looked at. I think Big Poppa Pump is goin and I would think 81 is the route of travel for him too. If I can go, I am gonna try to meet up with him for the ride down.

Same problem I have..... My wife just doesnt get the fact that a bunch of diesel truck guys want to drive a long way to hang out for a weekend. Oh well.

I am still trying to get the weekend off, and if that happens, i will be there.

I’m planning on 1 adult (that’s supposed to be me ) and two boys ages 14 and 12. She will have plenty of company to hang out with. My wife's coming and she don't care a thing about trucks, but loves camp and meet others. Post your count for sure.

Well, it's official, big poppa and family will be attending, can't wait.. Barry, 2 adults and three children, great job your doing, well appreciated.. My son's are 11, 9 and 5, their so excited.. Hab, we are going down 81 south, we'll grab 76 west here to 81 if you want to meet up in Carlisle, it would be great to travel in no#'s, safer that way, breakdown, problems, needs, ect...Plus the fun of rolling on down together sounds great..Let me know.. I can understand what some of you guys are saying, my wife isn't really into the truck scene but she's looking foward to meeting all the wife's and hanging out. Hey Jim, if you want any help cordinating anything with the kids coming, PM me, I got some iders too... Can't wait to meet all of yaa...

Well, yesterday, after talking to the wife, it looked really good that I'd be able to attend this shindig if I could carpool with Peter and split the cost with him. Unfortunately, after crunching some numbers last night, it looks like the cost for the fuel alone to get out there would be $650 to $700 bucks apiece.

There's just no way I can afford to spend that much, for this reason, right now.

All y'all raise a glass for me! I was really hoping to meet a bunch of you's guys.

I am 80% sure I will be coming down also. I just need to clear this with work tomorrow. I will probably head down after work on Thursday. I will be just me. The wife has no unaccounted for days off left available at work. I will probably ride the motorcycle and tent it. Do they have tent sites or if someone is able to share an RV site that would be cool.

Rounded off, just under 2,500 miles one way. That's with no detours, taking a straight path out there.
