The point is, hydroboost brakes don't use vacuum, therefore very little vacuum is needed.

would a bad vacuum pump be y my ac and heater doesnt work and it just rolls HOT air slowly out all vents (ALL YEAR LONG!!!) im real curious bout that

How are your brakes man? If the brake assist feels good then vacuum pump should not be on your suspects list. I'm thinking more likely tis a vacuum leak in the vent selector head behind the dash, the one that's operated by the levers you slide left-right.

On the early model trucks the coolant circulates through the heater core constantly if the engine is running.

So a bad seal on one of the heater doors, or the door being out of adjustment could be your problem.

For about 20 years I have been meaning to put a manual valve on mine to stop the coolant in the summer, but it still is not done.

I have a valve from a Ranger, tis vacuum controlled and I have it T-eed with the recirculating door servo - that one gets vacuum only when the HVAC is set to "off" or "max A/C", so in those two positions I have very little flow through the heater core.

Been meaning to do a mod like that since I first heard about it. Never gets done because I don't have the time for much tinkering anymore. This weekend is booked for some F350 rear springs if all goes well and work weeks are getting longer. I guess since I'll be at the wreckers anyway, I'll try and remember to look for that valve if there is a ranger or exploder thats new enough.

I noticed the air intake for the climate control when set to max is actually between the kick panel and the heater core housing. I know the ABS plastic housing is a decent insulator, but there has to be some heating going on there as the air goes past the heater core housing on its way to the evaporator core.

I measured a 4 degree celcius difference between the dryer under the hood in the engine bay and the air vents in the truck. That is a difference that you do notice on hotter days.
