I wanted to give you guys an update on the vibration, my rim/wheel situation, and a 3d question thats engine related.
First about the vibration, I went for a test drive with my reputable shop today and after looking at it, he says my tailshaft is toast, he said probably from when it got shoved so hard from that stupid fukcing shackle flip. Anyway he said he wouldnt be able to get anything until monday, but said he will need to replace I think he said bushings or something inside that, but doesnt know if he can get the parts without buying the whole tailshaft housing. How seriious does this sound?
Second I sent back my tires for a refund and put on my old 31 inch tires while I wait and think what rim I want. I think I want a 17-18 inch rim with a 325/70/17 possibly.
3. I noticed my oil gauge has been reading high. After doing a 10w-30 oil change it seems related. Maybe to thick? Anyway heres a picture of the reading.
yes and no....the dash guages are prretty much idiot guages their not that accurate. so your pressure may not actually be that high.....buuttt it could be that high for some reason a clogged oil gallery or a clogged oil filter. i dont know how to test it other than put an aftermarket mechanical guage in there. if your truck seems to run fine and theres not any knocking or ticking especially at idle your prolly ok. im sure a more knowledgable person could tell you how to test this.
With the age of your truck, just put an aftermarket mechanical gauge (not electrical) to get an accurate reading. The guage is just on or off, and can change if the resistor goes bad on the dash gauge.

Theres nothing wrong with the Autometer Electric gauges i am using them oil, water, trans !
But yea an after market gauge mech,or elec, is going to be better than stock.
I wouldn't worry about the gauge. The gauge in my 85 always read that high. I had a mechanical gauge as well, and it would fluctuate pressure with rpm while the factory guage rarely moved.
I bet your truck looks kind of goofy right now with that lift and tiny tires. I'll bet it feels alot quicker though.
I don't like those rims you have pictured. The truck needs some that are aluminum or silver to set off the truck. Sycstang's wheels look much better. Personally I like to older school style wheels that go with the era of the truck. I would put 16 inch wheels on it. A 17 would look good too. I don't really even like the 18 inch wheels on Super Duty trucks. I don't really like any of the overly modern style wheels on our trucks. It just looks like "bling" to me. Those black and silver ones that are pictured are just gross.
Theres no way 10w30 is too thick. It could be that the connection on your sending unit is loose.
