What would be the best mod to lower the EGT's with out spending a ton of cash? Mine aren't high, but can get high with a heavy foot. Would a bigger exhaust housing be the best mod or a 6.0 intercooler or something else?

It depends on how cheap you can get a intercooler. The 1.0 housing isn't very much and seems to do a good job. I am also extremely impressed with my water injection, but it is more expensive than the housing or intercooler.
I have about the same mods, and the van turbo (1.15 exh housing) dropped my EGTs on the top end dramatically! Went from able to get over 1500 to 1300-1400. I have a 6.0 I/C ready to go in and that should take another 100 or so off the top.
EDIT: And no, you don't NEED your chip reburned. I'm running the same tunes I was before and it's okay. There might be some room for improvement with bottom-end lag, but I'm holding off until I get injectors. I doubt it will be as much as of issue with the 1.0 housing though...

Izzy pretty much summed it up. Lag won't be an issue on the 1.0 housing, and if you ceramic coat it that will help alot also.
I would love a Van turbo, but cant swing that right now. Would a 1.0 exh housing provide any performance gains?
It will help in the mid to upper spool while still giving you good low end spool. I might also have another lead on some van turbos in the next week. Still waiting to see what happens.
I've seen some on ebay pretty cheap. But you have to buy a few accesories to make it fit into your truck. They are less than 1000 smacks for everything.
