Will a 98 Ranger CD player work in a 97 F150? I have been wanting to put a cd player in my truck because mine just has a cassestte and I happen to come across a 98 Ranger that has one. They both look the same from the outside but are they much different with the plug in's. Thanks

if the outsides look the same i'm guessing they are the same on the outside. I took my brother's cd player out of his 99' SD and it will fit directly into my 02' 150 wiring and all.

There is a mounting bracket that hangs down on the cassette players, if you put a 6 disc in you have to remove the bracket. I assume a single will also require it to be removed. The plugs were changed in '99 in the F150's, not sure when in the Rangers.
