2005 F250 Keyless Entry

Just purchased a used 2005 with the keyless entry mounted on the drivers side of the door. Seller did not recall what the code was/is. Is the code located inside the vehicle somewhere. I looked under the dash, behind the glove box, under the seat belt system with no luck. Any suggestions as opposed to taking it back to the dealer and paying big $$. Default code may also help. Thanks

Welcome to FTE. Seems like I remember reading there's a sticker up behind the radio on the firewall that has the code on it.

Found the number

I pulled the dash and found a bosch module (directly below the radio) with a 5 digit code. I tried the code and it worked!!. I was also able to change the code.

Thanks for your help.

You did NOT CHANGE the code, you added your own code to the system. If the codes get wiped for whatever reason, your code will be deleted, but the original will remain. Either can be used to unlock the door.

I did not try the old code, but that makes sense. Good information to know.

Thanks for the post.
