Problems to look for when buying ?
I have been searching for and escape/mariner for my daughter and was wondering what are some things to look out for when buying??
I found that the 01's had some issues being a first year of a new model.
I have narrowed the search down to an 05 thru 07 year range..
She likes an 06 Mariner Premier with the V6 and all wheel drive with 56K miles on it..
Already had an Oasis done on it and it looks good..
Any other things to check out before signing on the bottom line??
Any help would be appreciated..

I believe they are all bad about eating wheel bearings, especially in the rear. But they are also very susceptible to getting road noise from the tires up thru the rear that sounds like wheel bearings. Mine had the noise really loud and it turned out to be a bad tire.

Jas88, I hope they at least last a while..
Well my daughter bought the 06 Mariner we saw yesterday..
Not a bad deal and I know the dealer real well so I feel it is a good vehicle.
