Well, I finely got the motor to the house, and after doing some reading and some looking/checking on the serial #, (14989475) and casting #, (D4AE-6015 AA3) the only thing that I can come up with is that is a '74 general purpose engine that Mercruser used/converted to a marine engine

Which rotation is it? A boat guy may give you more money for it if it's a reverse rotation!! If it came out of a boat get it dipped then painted inside and out!! You are putting it in a truck right! get the heads milled to up the comp!
Do you got a heavy equipment junkyard near you? Get a loader motor they are cheaper then getting one from a regular junkyard, because all they got is diesel it isn't looked at like gold, like at your regular auto wrecker!! They are the same motors that are in pick ups!!
