I do not have a link but someone sells a two piece replacement pan. The only "approved" methon is pulling the engine. Depending on how badly it is rusted through you could try patching it. Either weld in some metal or put on an epoxy patch.
Pretty sure you have to pull the engine / but , I thought I read on here a few days ago about someone pulling the trans.and getting the oil pan out that way.
Definately easier if it will work.
I'll post it if I can find it.
I had my local dealer replace mine under warranty. They said they pull the trans and bring the motor back far enough to pull the pan. I don't see why they would lie about it. They charge less than other dealers to do this method. Almost a year now and all is well.
Just pull the motor... Its not that hard to do. You have to flip it over and dry everything and let it sit overnight anyway. Do you really want to do it half assed and then do it again later...
I think it might have been Dan... or maybe someone else (one of the super-experts around here), who used a fuel tank patch kit to repair theirs. I'm sure they'll chime in soon.
Automator Dave had his replaced in a shop, ended up getting a bunch of other stuff done while they were in there. Pulling the motor would be my choice but whatever works for yaa, good luck..
If yours is rusted to the point where it's leaking through, the only way to properly fix it for good, is to put a new oil pan on, with the engine out, or upside down.
