300 to 351W

Hey i have a 1982 F100 with a 300 straight 6 in it and im putting in a 351W... im having some doubts that my 1979 351 block will bolt up to my 1982 C6 trans... anyone out there know if they have the same bolt pattern?

are you sure the 79 351 is a windsor and not a 351M. there is a huge difference and the 351M has a different bolt pattern for sure.

The bell patterns are the same then.

Just make sure you get a 164 tooth 28oz flexplate for the 351, the one off the I6 is setup for zero balance.

ok thanks guys... i knew about the I6 being zero balanced and i was goin to ask about the flexplate specs for the 351... thanks Conanski... i appreciate the help
