Does anybody know what it was that ford did to some idi's that caused them to put a void sticker on the valve cover.

 

Oh, I know that first hand - they didn't do anything, just at some point in the engine's use some idiot removed the emissions label that normally sits on the valve cover on that very same location - nothing to worry about in most of the normal states, however in Commiefornia if said IDI lives in an F-superduty truck or any other fleet or commercial-use truck you're in for some interesting meetings with the DMV goons.

 

Ok that makes sense as I have owned three with the void and one of them came from a guy I knew and didn't have many miles on it.

 

All I wanted to do was repaint the engine after it was rebuilt but I didn't know about the sticker. Silly me I went and masked it off to avoid painting over it. Oh well...
