Hello to all. I have a 2001 Expy XLT with 91,000 on her. I am relocating to Colorado from Florida. I will be using her to pull a 5x10 enclosed trailer will i have any problems? Please if any ones knows of any problems. She has run real good with no problems at this time. I will be changing the trans filter and fluid and i am running with sinthetic oil. Please help.
Does your Expy have the trailer towing package? If so, you won't have any problems at all. I pull a 23' walkaround fishing boat with my 2002 Expy and she does fine. Even if you don't have the trailer package, a 5x10 trailer can't weigh too much to cause issues, I would guess. I think you will be fine. Changing the trans fluid & filter ahead of time is a good idea, as you have mentioned you plan to do.
any clue how much that closed in trailer will weigh when u fill it with ur cargo? it all depends on weight... but unless u are hauling boulders in that thing u should be fine! ive hauled an 8x10 trailer with 2 harleys(roughly 1500 pounds)on it many times... no prob at all.
