opti-lube here, ~10oz per tank

no discernable increase or decrease in mileage but it did test 2nd best for lubrication behind 2% bio diesel in that independent lab test.

have yet to pull my egr, but soot buildup a factor of so many things (syn/dino, ulsd, idleing, etc)

My father tried acetone in his '06 D-Max for a bit, then ended going with the Power Service Diesel Kleen.

I have used Diesel Kleen (3oz/gal) since I bought the truck 2 years ago. I have 181K and still going strong...

You couldn't pay me to add oil to my fuel.

One additive not been mentioned yet

Kleen Flo diesel fuel conditioner, it says it is good for everything but it has alcohol in it is that good or bad, bought this at Canadian Tire, it says to add 4oz to 50gals of fuel, what do you all think.
Thanks Brian

I use DK both colors for the appropriate season. I got a few bottles of Polar Power from a mechanic at work for winter use. I used some last winter with no ill affects, has anyone else used Polar Power? And how do you feel about it, I mean is it OK to use?
http://www.fppf.com/msds/msds_PolarP.pdf This is the MSDS on it, doesn't say anything about alchohol, but I'm no chemist. I'm not sure what the other chemicals are.

I happened into Howes when I was getting Rotella ELC, they are on the same road as the oil warehouse. so I got some. At least their 'Diesel Treat' comes with a 'no gell' towing warranty. I know they have been around a while and are sold at the big truckstops.

Howes Lubricator

Good God I know there is a difference between a 7.3 & a 6.0 but 3oz./gal thats 87oz for a 29 gallon tank. I'm not saying nothing but that could get expensive. But hey if it works!

He probably meant 1oz/3 gal which is what it says on the back of the bottle. Thats what I add. Usually an 8 oz bottle when I fill at around 1/4 tank, 21 to 23 gal.

I have read about this one. But it is not a common product sold here.Where do you get yours. For now I use DK. and standyne, rotate ever tank full.

I get Opti-Lube XPD from their web site (Centurion Lubricants Oil Fortifier Synthetic Grease Block Grease). Delivered right to my door. I haven't seen it any where else. I've been using it for about two years with no issues.

Most if not all of the Ford Diesel fuel products are made by a company in the Chicago area called Gold Eagle.
