Did anyone watch game 7 last night? Not a Wings or Pens fan, but what a game! That last save by Fluery - Wow! Too bad there arent any hockey fans out here in central Pa. Nevermind who likes who and who hates who, it was a great series.
PS Someday , my NY Islanders will get themselves back on the map.
Born in Pittsburgh, live in Lancaster, but still a die hard Pens fan. Game five was such a downer, it was hard to believe the Pens could come back and win one in Detroit.
I was so nervous my stomach hurt and I had no appetite. Couldn't even look at the fine supper my wife had made.
But I felt a lot better after the first period the way the Pens were playing. And when Talbot scored two, I was feeling pretty confident. I expected a furious final 5-6 minutes and nearly had a heart attack when that shot went off the cross bar. But Fleury had the game of his career and I agree, that final save with what, .6 seconds on the clock? was incredible. That one will be in highlight reels forever.
Victory even sweeter re: the Hossa situation.
Yeah, I have to admit it was nice to see Hossa watch from the losing side again. How do you think he feels about his decision? As great a team as Detroit is, I can't say I like them too much since Yzerman retired. That guy was The Man. Pro sports needs more guys like him.
The local stations were off the air until 10 pm, only got to see the last few minutes. Digital switch over here was only supposed to have them off the air a couple of hours in the morning. So much for thier planning. The CBS station didn't make it back up until after 11 pm.
