transfer case fluid
I'm about to change the fluid in my np208 transfer case, and i need to know what kind of fluid it uses. the manual recomends 'mercon', but i have never heard of that. could someone clear this up for me?

transfer case fluid
Mercon is simply Ford's ATF. You'll find it at the store as Dextron III/Mercon. The Dextron III is GM's ATF. Both the Ford and GM fluids are the same, so they are sold in the same package.
