'95 Front turn/marker lamp replacement?

It's not a great picture to show you what I'm talking about, but the truck must have whacked a branch or something in a past life, and all but the headlight unit on the passenger side are damaged in some way. I can live with the crack in the trim(and will probably epoxy it), but was wondering what the easiest way to get the fixtures out to pop my new junkyard ones in?

I've replaced the whole light clusters on my '87, but those trucks are setup differently. I've already got the parts I need from a junkyard truck, but got as far as getting the grille off before deciding that it wasn't something to tackle at dusk, especially since I've got to drive it to market in the morning.

I've spotted a few of the bolts I have to get at to remove the big piece that everything hooks up to up front, but I'd rather not have to take it all apart if I don't have to.

1. remove the 2 phillips head screws holding the headlight trim bezel at the top.
2. Reach down in between battery and rad support w a 1/4 ratchet and a 10mm or 11mm( cant remember which)and remove the 2 nuts from the studs.
there are 2 studs that protrude out the back of the parking lens thru the trim bezel and thru the composite header panel. They are approx 3" to either side of the turn signal bulb.
For a 1st timer i recomend removing the battery(not nessary but alot easier)
o and hope the studs dont unscrew out of the parking lens.

3 once you remove the hardware as described above the bezle and parking lens will come out as one piece, leaving access to the other parking light bulbs

The before and after pictures... ignore the cardboard shims under the headlight, everything is perfectly fine...

Actually, one of the mounting points for the headlight is broke, and was broken from before I had it. The donor headlight I have was kind of melted(not too bad, still usable, I think, but there's one pinhole that would allow moisture into the unit), so I didn't feel like changing it over. The previous owner had a piece of paper folded up tight to support the light, so I figure two pieces of dense cardboard is an upgrade for now. Someday, when I have the cash to throw at it, I'll be redoing all the front plastic anyway.

Thank goodness for this thread. My headlight adjuster just broke and I couldn't figure out how to get the trim bezel off to get to it, or even be able to see it.

It is a 11 mm deep well socket in 1/4" drive that you need, and they are a pain in the butt to get to. Do yourself a favor and go ahead and remove the battery. Trust me!!!

Thanks again FTE for saving my butt, and thank you for the awesome power of the search button!

I couldn't find the bolts until I removed the grill, and seen where they were located. My issue was the passenger side, so it was easier. I would recommend the battery to be removed also.

I got lucky and accidentally saw the one closest to the radiator, so that helped immensely! Also reading through as many threads helped a lot too. I just hope that the Gorilla/Super Glue holds until I can get the right parts. I hate having to cobble stuff together, but I was stuck with it this time until I can get the parts this weekend.

My lower pivot for the headlight broke. The plastic piece that threaded pivot ball goes into. Had to super glue it for now since I have to have my truck to go to work the rest of the week. I will hunt down some parts for it this weekend though, because I am also going to have to find another turn lamp, or the whole housing/trim bezel. 1 of the 2 studs broke my turn lamp housing. Just my luck...

I have a broken stud in the turn lamp housing, but the one I took off did, too. It stays put just fine.

Yeah mine does just fine, and the Gorilla Glue worked like a charm for now. I need to find the parts to fix it though, but I will probably just pick them up so that I have them on hand when it does decide to take a crap on me again.
