Need a Column
I need help finding a steering column. I have a 1979 Ford F100 with a 302 V8 and a 3 speed with overdrive on the floor. I need a steering column made for a floor shift, with tilt wheel and power steering. I have checked ALL local junk yards for this part and nobody has it. If you have it or know where i can find please let me know asap. Thanks

ONly subscribing to this thread to see what you can come up with. I too am in the sam situation. I am building a Crew cab 4x4 with a 5 speed, and I really want a manual trans tilt column of the 78/9 type.
I have only seen two in my life and not sure if they were actualy real or if they were modified. I am leaning towards machining a housing and modifying an auto column.

iditit has them as a retro fit. I am tempted. I would not leave it in this shined up state, as I would probably powder the housing, but the option is tempting.

As i wrote in the other thread, several have sold on ebay in the last few months. The high I've seen was 405 and the low coming just last week, (regretting not buying it) went for 227.
my plan is to buy a complete factory cruise setup and throw in a tilt column. The result would be a 4-speed 4wd. 300-6 4-speed tilt with cruise.........SWEET!!!
