I guess the other poster found a red one that has been faded to orange and went to look for an orange one. So he needs to look for a RED one.
Ask, and ye shall receive.

D6DZ12A225B .. Vacuum Restrictor - RED / Obsolete

GREEN SALES COMPANY in Cincinnati OH has 90 = 800-543-4959.

MANDERBACH FORD in Temple PA has 3 = 888-225-4364.

WILLEY, INC in Ames IA has 7.

PARTS INTERNATIONAL in Farmers Branch TX has 2 = 888-727-0418.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
btw: I only read parts catalogs when I'm on FTE.

With a library of over 30,000 books, I have plenty of other stuff to read on a wide variety of subjects ranging from architecture to zoology!

The one way valve used in conjunction with the fender apron mounted vacuum reservoir is not the same as any of the others.
Numberdummy, since you seem to be on a roll, would you tell me what the Ford part number is for the fender apron-mounted vacuum resorvoir "coffee can" that is located on my 1985 F150? It only has ONE nipple coming out of it.

Thanks!

Originally, were TWO different reservoirs used in 1985.

1984, 1985 BEFORE production date 5/83: E1FZ19A566A .. Vacuum Reservoir & Bracket Assembly.

This reservoir was replaced by the following:

FROM 5/83 thru 1989: E3SZ19A566B .. Vacuum Reservoir & Bracket Assy.

Available from Ford: MSRP: $28.98 // FTE sponsor: y2kfordparts.com price: $20.87.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you have the early type (E1FZ19A566A), and can't find an original...which is now obsolete:

BOWMAN FORD SALES in Bowman ND has ONE: 701-523-3257.

JST AUTOMOTIVE in Lebanon TN has ONE: 615-443-3086.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has ONE: 800-543-4959.

No other Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

I don't know though.

This vacuum restrictor looks ORANGE to me. Perhaps it's in the 1980-1989 book?

I don't see how it could fade as the end is protected by the hose... But you be the judge.

Now...the question is....

Is this ORANGE E1TZ12A225A ?

Or is it YELLOW D9ZZ12A225A ?

Yellow is not listed in the 73/79 truck parts catalog. It is listed in the 73/79 car catalog...for a 1979 Mustang 2.3L with a Turbo.

Hell, you're hard-wired for this suhtff...

I'm still learning as I go along. And I have a 1973/79 truck to fix up, I spend more time on this catalog on than the newspapers!

Ahh, sorry. I didn't realize it was referenced to a '81. I automatically ignore other years.

I didn't either, I just knew they were color coded, and I had a Orange one.

That's where Bill becomes invaluable, he has the experience. I look at my parts book sometimes and scratch my head and say, "Is this written in greek?"

You and Chad are AOK in my book, you always type correct and helpful info for members.

However...there are others here that type stuff that is sooo confusing to read, it's worse than Greek.

One needs lessons in Sanskrit and Mayan hieroglyphics to figure it out!

One member that comes to mind...is a certain know-it-all-know-nothing smarmy kid.

D8FZ9B963B .. Fuel Vapor Cannister Purge Valve (Motorcraft CX903A) / Obsolete

Fits: All 1978/79 cars/trucks (except 1979 LTD 302/351W) / 1977 Pinto/Bobcat & Mustang II.

MILLER OBSOLETE PARTS in Binghamton NY has THREE: 800-546-7278.

WESLEY OBSOLETE PARTS in Liberty KY has ONE: 606-787-5293.

You might consider taking the Motorcraft part number (CX903A) to NAPA or a good indie auto parts store.

Since they can cross the number over to the brands they sell, it may be possible to get one that way.
