OK, well, i wanted to bump this post up, because i have finally had some free time and got my hydroboost parts in and ready to be installed and ran into one small issue. Because i bought it as a replacement it doesn't have the retainer snap ring, or the MC push rod, or the spring. And it says to use the ones on the original unit. Which i dont have.

But like anyone on a mission, i went to the junk yard and found a 90-92 f350 with hydroboost. So i pulled the MC and got the retainer clip, spring and push rod. But it doesn't fit the new hydroboost. Then Push rod is way to long and spring is almost fully compressed. Almost like the hydroboost cylinder is fulled compressed.

Anyone have any ideas? Its kinda puzzeling. The hydroboost unit it have is made for 88-96 trucks. So it sould work. Im im gonna get back to the junkyard and pick the whole unit as soon as possible and im praying it will still be there.

Thanks, i hope someone can help me out alittle.

I got the hydroboost mounted up and working great. but it wasnt without its difficulties. I discovered the the Reman unit i got had been presurized at the factory and that is why the unit wouldnt fit as first. But i removed the cap on the return and it easily fitted. The second issue i had is that the Master Cylinder bolt hole centers are diffrent then that of the hydroboost. I even tried going to the parts store and they didnt have any MCs that fit it. So i machined and elongated and braced the bolt holes on the MC. Works great.

But now i thnk im gonna need to upgrade the power steering pump, mine whines all the time and really drags the engine down. I am really interested in the saginaw pump. But i am not sure of how it mounts and if is a direct bolt in. And i have heard the hose fitting might be an issue, and im might need an adapter for the hydroboost pressure line.

Any thoughts or other ideas???
Thanks for all the help.
