Exactly. Manual trannys create a hydrocarbon spike at abrupt throttle liftoff that hoses up emissions. The computer is compensating for that by moderating the throttle somewhat. (This was from a comment Mark Kovalsky made a couple months back.) Plus on the drive by wire, there is no IAC, so the throttle plate is controlled to perform the same task as the old IAC, which would have opened to prevent a stall in a sudden throttle lift anyways.
