Any of you guys try one of these Mass Air EFI conversion kits from this place CLICK HERE and scroll down. I thought the only way to convert to Mass was find a very old left over Conversion kit for Ford Racing or make your own... what do you think. Probly not gonna go this rote with my truck for a long while but i just happened to come across this place and wondered if they were any good?
These kits look all but identical to the Ford kits but WOW... are they expensive. A MAF conversion is doable for a fraction of that cost sourcing a used mustang EEC and MAF meter and by pulling the wires from a MAF truck or car. The DIY method isn't exactly plug and play but with the money you save you can buy a tuner and some other performance parts.
I thought they were out of buisness. They have been around a while and this was very innovative stuff for back in the day. I have there TPS sensor meter for setting up the throttle body and it works real well and is simple to use and do. I also used there O2 extensions and ACT sensor relocator. I purchased from them at least 10 years ago. There stuff is very professional and well made.
Well in about three weeks i can give you some good info on them as i will have one of there 460 kits for my 96. Expensive yes, but for me it is the only real option that i have came across. I have a thread running on here about it and i will cover as much of it as i can. i will have dyno results for before and after. Check it out maybe it can help you.
cool sounds like their a good system... if i got one of these kits or i made my own like conanski said and i take it to a dealer/service center for inspection and they plug their computer into the new one what happens? if i made my own using a mustang EEC will the shops computer think my truck is a Mustang or somthing...
There is a company called RJM that has some affordable kits, but I have not had any dealings with them or heard anything about them. I like the more steamlined harness.
