Borg Warner 1356/Engine Swap Project

I'm working on an engine swap. '88 5.0L and AOD into a Bronco II. My question is about the Borg Warner 1356 present in the Full size Broncos and F150's. I know this transfer case is available for a number of years. I decided to use the BW 1356 to retain my electronic shift option. How many of the BW 1356 options will bolt up to an '88 AOD 31 spline output. This transfer case is available from at least 88 - 94 maybe more or less. There are many different part numbers for this transfer case, according to Ford. Also, is there any difference in the wiring arrangment for a certain year, compared to that of 88? I know that , at least in '88, the part number for the electronic shift control module is the same between a bronco II and full size bronco.

Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
