No Drive
I have an 81 ford f150, in the bell housing, I used to hear a noise like a bolt getting flung around once in a while, whether in drive or if I reved my engine. Now, yesterday I put it in drive and nothing, I can sort of feel the truck want to go. Reverse works, so I am thinking it may be the torque converter? Or I guess the bolts came off? I don't really have tools, just the basics, but would it be easy to drop the drive shaft and pull the tranny back to check? How easy is it to replace a torque converter. Thanks in advance.
