hello all i am shopping around for torque converters and i am a little stuck now i am trying to find a good torque converter that is reasonable price wise that means pi ats and the big names are out. i was thinking racer x or valair. post up what your thoughts are. also the reason for the search for the torque converter is p.o had put a torque converter on that has a very low stall and my engine is having problems driving it under the powerband saps the low end power out
I got a triple disc billet one from racer x. I can't give you a real honest opinion yet though, as I haven't really driven it since I got it in. What I have driven it seems to be fine, but I haven't gotten to tow with it yet. It's supposed to be really good, better be for what it cost. I don't know what you mean by too much money, but this one was 900ish.

i have installed the valair converter and all i can say is wow my old conveter was the source of all my low end power problems. now i can torque the truck a lil bit and it has no problem lighting the tires off or moving a heavy trailer
