98 E150 5.4 missing but no codes
HI guys and gals ..... out of the blue my 98 Club (158K)has started missing ... usually under a load ... up hill or at highway speed when I excellerate I can induce a thumping miss. It feels Very similar to when It was coding errors that led me to replacing the DPFE sensor in 2006 but no codes are present .....I did buy a Ford DPFE. Could it be bad in 3yrs?
Where to start ? Plugs ? ... probably 60+K on them. Coil pack wires? ... some are original. Without a code I am very frustrated.
Should I pull the throttle body to see if anything is plugged?

Had a friend run a ford dealer scan from a laptop while motor was running .... under brake torque and a stab at the throttle it stumbled and showed a dip in the graph on cyl #4 .... I replaced that coil pac and all is great.
