I just wanted to say hi and show of my 79
I've owned this truck for about 4 years now,
The 73-79 Ford is all i grown up around.
I have a doner 77 F100 im taking the bed of to replace the one on my 79
a lot of rust just in the bed only i dont get it
Specs 1979 F150 4x4 351m and stock for now!!!!!
I want to do the front leave spring conversion any hints
i'd only throw headers on it if u plan on cranking 3500+rpm a lot... i thot about headers for mine, but the only time the thing is really gonna be cranked is at the local mud bog, and that's only once a year where i live.
but i'd definitely get the flowmasters... theyre worth the price!
i got dual straight pipes on mine, but i was planning on making mufflers for it (a bit too noisy for street use).
i'd also go with a high lift cam for some more hp... make the truck a bit more fun!
Beautiful truck, but I too would like to know why the decision to get rid of the coil springs?
Many leaf spring guys are converting to coils, and you have that already.
welcome to fte, great looking truck, nice and clean.I'm not too sure I'd swap from the coils to leafs, like 75F350 said, alot of guys are going from leafs to coils, the coils offer better ride and articulation for offroad.but that truck doesn't look like it sees offroad much.
