I also believe Ford is trying to save money and are telling the dealers to stall any work on these trucks. I had the service manager tell me that exhaust in the cab is "normal" according to Ford.
Lemon law may apply in your case. It is unfortunate but does happen when you build a couple hundred thousand of these trucks.

Too bad Ford can't realize that in your case and just take it back and give you another without a fight.

Keep us posted if you find out the real cause.

Between the downpipe and the turbo is a stainless steel gasket. The leak is usually due to a poor fit in that area. Part of the problem is that we get paid 1 hour to service it (yes, 1 hour). If you can get back there and loosen the clamp, then go below and loosen the "slip joint" that will "unload" the downpipe. Then retighten the clamp on the turbo. Then retighten the slipjoint.

Thanks vloney for the tip. I was told at the shop last week that was what they had just done. One of the service writers said later that they had replaced that gasket. However, whatever they did, it did not change the problem at all. The original problem is still the same. Slow speeds when the 'regen' mode is in operation, exhaust fumes coming in through the vents in the dash, plus the heater vents, depending on how I have the HVAC controls set for air. This problem started after they replaced a temp sending unit in the EGR cooling system. They told me they broke the sensor trying to remove it and would have to pull the trans to replace the sensor. They had it 22 days to do so. When they gave it back to me, it had a new problem---exhaust in the cab. Now we have been trying to cure that problem for the past 51 days. I have had my truck to use only 5 days since April 6th and even those times I had exhaust in the cab.
