Transmission weight?
Does anybody know how much the Ex's transmission weighs? I'm looking for a transmission jack.

It's a 2000 V-10 2 wheel drive with a multi gear automatic overdrive. For that year I got as many gears as I could. I have no idea.

I have the 7.3 4wd and the transmission shop told mine was close to 500#'s with transfer case attached.

Thanks. I was trying to figure out what weight limit transmission jack to get. I'll get a 1/2 ton jack.

The 4x2 transmission weighs 270 pounds. For a 4x4 add about 200 more for the transfer case, so 500 is a very good estimate.

So you would have the 4R100 transmission.
