Rear in numbers

Can anyone tell what size my rear is by the plate on it. Heres what it says. V189C 10102 OC26 Its a one ton dually. Looking at it from the front, there is a small relay or something with wires attached to it on the top of the housing, just to the right of the pinion. What is that????? Thanks Tracy !!!

Cant help you find your axle type or gears with that info, however i probably can help you with those wires coming out of your housing. My 8.8 axle from my 95 bronco had the same ones. From what i have been told it is your speed sensor. If it is pluged in to the top part of your housing above everything else and its not the vent tube than thats what it is. This is a good design on ford, howver when your pinion bearing blows it will take that with it(done that) and when/if you decide to swap axlessay for the 9" as i am, the 9" doesnt have the speed sensor in the axle. Its more of a bad design looking at it for me. I know of a web site that can tell you your axle specs. If i can find the link or URL i will send it to ya. Goodluck.

is this a truck or a van? its definitely not an 8.8in rear in a dually 1 ton. the ford 10.25, 10.5 and dana rear ends use the same speed sensor setup. from those numbers id say youve got a dana60 or a dana70. no idea on ratio though.

Thanks guys, Since you posted your truck looks and specks, heres what mine is.
Its a 1952 Mercury pickup or at least all the sheetmetal from bumper to bumper. With the frame from a 1998 f-350 Dually,as far as the running gear its a rebuilt 460 EFI with mild street cam. Paxton supercharger all the power equipment,air,p.s.,p. disc brakes,5 speed H.D. standard trans. with the standard dually rear (unknown size). The truck is in its 14 month of being built. Now complete in primer DP-90 ready for paint. And i have done all the work so far my self. But i know im not a painter,so im going to send it out to get painted.
Have a nice one !!! Tracy

OK,Thanks ! But what im really after is my gear ratio. Like 308,373,411 and etc. Iwas told the tag with the numbers on the rear is the ratio.
