I'm getting ready to do a coolant change and have everything lined up but the coolant. I've read a lot about the ELC coolants, but still not sure. Also, there not readily available near me. Here are my options.
-I found a product called Fleet Charge Fleet Charge Specifications Sheet in Napa today. I haven't heard it mentioned before and I'm not sure of it meeting specs.
-I think I can get Rotella concentrate in @ a week or so, and local IH dealer sells 50/50 mix.
-Zerex G-05 readily available.
I understand the ELC 4 gal and fill to full with DI water after flushing. Is it the same with Zerex?
What do you guys think?
The Zerex G-05 and the Motorcraft premium gold are the same stuff I think. I was thinking about the ELC and no babysitting SCA's. Anybody running somehting like the Rotella or Chevron delo with any feed back?
Oh yeah, I have access to a dealer that says to put the green stuff in. I ran away.

Fleet Charge still requires regular maintenance to keep SCA levels in check. Final Charge, also make by Peak, does not and is EC-1 Caterpillar approved. I orded the concentrated gallons from O'Reilly. I flushed the system with distilled water, added 4 gals of Final Charge, the topped off with more distilled water. No more coolant changes for 300,000 miles.
the Zerex G-05 is good for 100,000 without having to add any SCA's.

If you've read a lot about the ELC's, you probably already know as much as you should. But just in case, what do you wanna know, other than Delo is the bomb! 750,000 miles standard before needing a flush, or 1 million miles with an extender!
