so, i gots my f150's bed off right now, and the truck is going to be lifted 6" in the rear, and 5 1/2" in the front. out of curiosity, what kinda bed ideas does anyone have? going back to stock would be an option, but i was thinking that maybe a stepside long bed? even if the idea sounds krazy, put it on here! I kinda want a "one of a kind" look to it!
So you want crazy huh, cut the back half off a Bronco and stretch that. Unibody it and all. It would be a long bed Bronco. Could have 3 rows of seats like a Suburban. Sweet. Hows that for an idea? Definitly one of a kind.
usually you lift the front more than the rear to "level" it out.
i dont like the levelled out look as much as the rear sticking up. idk why, i just think it looks better
the thing's almost level right now, and i dont like it that much.

i like that idea, but i still want it to be a 'truck' not an 'suv'. plus, i'm 17, so the body work probably wouldnt turn out so great
I'm with you, i don't like a rake on these trucks, the nose needs to be leveled for the perfect stance.
i dont want the perfect stance. i figured since the truck sounds 'uncivilized' that it should look a little uncivilized too. a more agressive, 2wd like stance is what i wanted for this project, and that's whats gonna happen. 2wd w/the wider tires and rear in the air look pretty nasty.
I'm making a bed out of some 1/8" wall 2x2 steel tubing, 1/8" wall 2x2 angle iron, some 3/4" plywood and an old bed liner! Easy enough to put a decent tailgate on it too.
