I'll try to figure it out on the laptop at home if you still are having issues Rick. Should I have typed this in all caps?

On my Lenovo laptop I tried the following:
press Fn (colored key) and NmLk (Same color, below Delete on key)
hold down Alt key and press K(2), U(4), 8(8)
Release Alt key.
° Appears!
I have to undo the NmLk to continue typing, otherwise "Appears!" becomes A**ears!

LOL, sounds like people here are starting to get CRS. Get it taken care of as soon as you can as later in life it'll advance to SCRS

Still can't make it work on mine. I did manage to change windows a couple of times, open one of the links in my favorites, and even ejected the cd tray. I think I'll just continue to type things out.

Chris- on the laptop at home I got it to work by pressing ALT and the Function key (blue lettering), then look at your keyboard for the blue #'s on the letter keys. I can't remember exactly which ones now, but I did get it to work.
So hold alt AND func
locate 2,4, 8 in blue on your keyboard and press
release alt and func

I've been pushing the regular number keys I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. Maybe you should type slower next time so it's easier for me to follow
