Need to find the ride height from the bottom of the frame, just behind the front suspension, to the ground.
Then need to find the front width, from the inside tire to tire.
I am trying to uderstand where my ride height will be after installing an Aerostar front suspension on my '59 Ford Panel. Trying to see if the drop is too much for what I want to do. Also want to see what the distance is between the wheels so I can get an idea if this front-end is too wide for what I want.
I don't remember the exact specs for the Aerostar, but I do remember that the awd model is 1" higher than the 2wd model.
Since you're installing it onto a completely different vehicle, you may want to look at suspension geometry in addition to ride height. Have the height set so that the ball joint studs are at the middle of their travel when sitting "normal"; ie no load. So be careful with how much you drop the suspension, or you can snap a ball joint on the next big bump.
