I am about to purchase a 1977 f250 crew cab 2wd. I am renting a tow dolly from U-Haul to pull it home (it has good tires etc.). It doesn't have a drive train and missing some parts so weight isn't an issue.

I need to figure out how wide a 77 2wd is in the front from the outside of the tire to the outside of the other tire. If anyone knows a general length, or can measure theirs for me i would greatly appreciate it!

I know it will change a little bit depending on side width but i can find out what size tires it has.

My '73 F100 2WD measures aprox. 74" wide.

 

Thanks a lot Mike. The tow dolly is 72" wide so thats a bummer. i will have to call and cancel my tow dolly reservation.

 

I don't think I'd cancel the tow dolly. With only a 2" difference I think you could make it work. The tires on mine are wider than normal.
