I am having a problem with my 91 F.250 with 5.8 5spd,4x4 reg cab, my wipers dont work in any speed and the washer doesnt work either, now if you turn the wipers on, the motor makes a groaning noise, ive tried 2 motors, they both do the same, i hear a clicking behind the fuse block.
I had a similar problem. Is your wiper switch combined with your turn signal switch? I replaced the turn signal/wiper switch and it fixed my problem. I got the part at NAPA...I might still have the box if you need a part number.
if you have intermittent wipers on the turn signal stalk, and easy thing to do is to pull the cap off of the end(i used my teeth) which will reveal a screw. remove screw and slide out internals. clean with electrical parts cleaner... when pulling out the parts make sure the little metal cylinders dont fall out of the bottom(you will see what i mean)
after this you will have to replace stuff(relays, etc)
yup it's raining and my wipers don't work at all not even one little f-ing bit, i'm buying a 90 f-150 with a broken frame but the body is in really good shape i counted 3 small scratches and 2 dents the size of a nickel on it short cab short bed 300 5speed 4wd, it's ashame to buy it and pull parts off of it then send it to the wrecker
