Thanks.
That foot rest started out as one of those $20.00 step stools you can buy at the local Wal Mart or wherever. From there, I trimmed off the feet as needed to make it fit in the truck.
Later on I added the shims because it kept flipping backwards onto the floor whenever I gave it any throttle.

Here is a good link to PW and PDL lock kits, alarm systems, back up camera and sensor systems. Feel free to look around I plan on going with a kit like this to update to PW and PDL.

SPAL USA - The Industry Leader in High-Performance Automotive Parts and Accessories

We have used spal fans on our race trucks for years and I can only hope their other kits are as good as their fans.

Hope this helps.

Quick easy fix.....Get a different GF.

Sorry...I buy and drive my truck for me. My wife just happens to like it tho....but it still wouldn't matter. I got it cause it is what I wanted...she has her own car.

I spent all yesterday putting my truck back together. Pulling the dash is a no-go! To do it the wiring harness, the cross brace, the fuse panel all has to come out and you don't really access the firewall any better. Then I installed my new DP Tuner that Clay sent me. That tuner is FREAKIN' AWESOME!!!! I would have never thought that truck would have that much power, 80 Tow nearly scared the crap out of me when I got into it unloaded! I'm going to have a new post about questions on the wastgate and boost now that I have the chip. I will be puting a regulator in the MAP line to prevent defueling.
Now I've got to get the short throw shifter, I'm calling Clay today to order one. Also got one of RiffRaff's/Pete's prefilters. Really looks good! Pete makes a fine product. I'm also going to call the local dealership to find out if the polished aluminum shifter Loren has in his install pics is available. I like that look.

I checked out that site and those are very reasonable prices! That would probably be a better alternative than JY parts. Thanks for the link.

Another question on seats. I've been looking quite a few SD's and have seen several options (1) standard manual bench (2) 60/40 split with drivers side electric (3) dual buckets with center console. I don't want to pull the seat and floor mat to see if there are more bolt holes for the split, buckets and console. Does anyone know if they're there?

I wasn't very happy with the aftermarket carpet that was in my truck when I got it. It was brand new, but I don't know where it came from. I pitched it and got the factory carpet. Was worth the extra money. The fit and color match are far better. Because of previous experiences, I think that most will be similar. It may or may not matter to you.

Also, the split bench power seat is only power on the driver side. The only seat that is power on the passenger side is the crew cab one and it won't have the seat belt in the seat if yours is that way (I think 01 is). All of the bolts should be in the floor, the two bucket options use the same bolt holes, just a different center portion and armrests are added.

Thanks Chris, I have the Crew Cab. I think my GF would be much more comfortable if she had the electric. Am I to understand that the Crew 60/40 split will have passenger side electric or just the bucket?

To be technically right, it's 40/20/40. The center part is a separate piece, the seats are basically the same except for if it has an arm rest on it.
