09 Platinum Mirror conversion update/help

09 Platinum came with Trailer tow Mirrors. I purchased the power folding mirrors and installed them(very easy). I also repalced the switch. The dealer also ordered the relay and thats where the problem is. The mirrors don't fold just by pluging them in. All the wires in the clips are there. So I kind of think it's the right wire harness. I could be wrong. There is no listing for the Power Folding relay in the manual. Dose anyone know where this relay is found? Or any other help would be great.

I posted this in another fourm just trying to get as much help as I can.

Thanks
Chris

What manual are you referring to?

It should be in the actual service or electrical manual, the dealer has that. I assume the electrical manual will show the wiring diagram for the mirrors and the relay? I already mentioned that to you last month when you first asked about this conversion/maybe on the other forum?

Doughboy, i find that very interesting. I have a Platinum and am looking to have the mirrrors changed to the folding type. I have been working with the dealer for months now and they say they don't have a wiring drawing. I wonder if I am going to have the same issues.
How much did you pay for the mirrors and the switch?

that sounds about right. dealer told me 900 for parts 300 to install them. but i keep asking about the wiring and they just don't know. what i really want is a folding tow mirror. i thought about ordering one for the suerduty and seeing if i could make it work.

GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!!

I finally got the mirrors on my platinum working. The wiring is there and you do not need to buy any modules. you only need to purchase the mirrors and the new switch.

What are the part numbers for those 3 items? I have the trailer tow on my Lariat and I hope this upgrade is possible.

John, the dealership needs a code from the factory. The factory doesn't want that info out there. It took me 9 months to get mine working correctly. All i can tell you is keep on the dealership to get that code.
