Water Conditioner

Someone I kinda sorta trust recommended I put a water conditioner in the radiator. He said it has to do with the fact that the 7.3 engine doesn't have jacketed water runs in the block and the air bubbles in the water and coolant can cause an erosion in them. I have not heard of this but again, he has a lot of diesel experience, and me, not so much.

Many Cummins, Cat etc. heavy truck engines have a conditioner/filter plumbed into the cooling system. Anyone tried this on an IDI?

yup its been done i believe its in the tech articles at the top of the forum page.

Hmmm... only came up with an article about a kit for PSD's, but I'm not the most web savvy guy. I was just thinking of mounting a spin on in the heater return hose. Any comments.
