I was looking trough several parts catalogues to find replacements for both RH and LH lower bed racetrack trim on my 1976 F250 supercab (with toolbox)
There are so many different ones though that I am confused and I do not want to order the wrong one (if it's available at all)
Can someone help me out and tell my what exactly i need to be asking for if I am looking for this trim on my ford? Or even better if someone knows where I can order it with what number
I have made some pictures and marked the trim red to illustrate what I need. all other trip is in great shape, just these two pieces are banged up
Have you checked out Dennis Carpenter Reproductions?

They have pretty good illustrations on page 108 of the online catalog. The drivers side is the 8' foot lower racetrack bedside molding. You might have a problem finding the Passenger side since you have the tool box which is in the production phase from this place, but not sure if it's out yet. Most other places get their molding from here and re-sell.

The Race Track mouldings were not available until the 1977 models were introduced (note the 1977 part number prefix of D7TZ).
The Race Track mouldings were only factory installed on Ranger XLT's and Lariats, but...
The mouldings were very popular back then, so people came to the Ford parts counter, bought complete sets and installed them on their 1973/76's and 1977/79's that did not come with Race Track mouldings.
The entire set could be bought for $300.00! How do I know? I sold dozens of sets, and $300.00 was the list price, with a discount, the price dropped to $210.00!
Today, it's a different story. One moulding might set you back $300.00!
thanks for all the helpful info!! as to the trucks year - I'm confused myself. It was sold to me as a 77, but the sticker whith the VIN has an end 1976... so I don't know

Since new vehicle introduction time occurs in September of the previous year, production begins...usually in August.
In other words, vehicles assembled 8/76 thru 12/76 are 1977's.
This is the case today, and it's been this way since the 1950's.
