well, I needed some deodorant, shampoo, etc, so I went to Wally world today. And they have changed the display. It no longer has 305's. 267/75R16 is the largest. And it now lists 15,16,and17 inch sizes. What gives?
I had a set of 265/75-16 E put on yesterday at the Wally World. I wanted to do 285s but they only had the 265s in stock and I only had yesterday free to get it done. Nolan (4inchlovin) saw them today and now is trying to steal them off my truck.
They look hot but one word of warning, they are loud. But at $175 a tire, who cares
I can't testify to the off road performance yet, but the highway ride is spectacular. They are almost TOO quiet. I was hoping for a little bit of buzz just to scare the pedestrians. They also improved the look a bunch. (in my opinion )
Those Duratracs look really nice. If my silent armors didn't get warrantied out, I'd get those. Regarding the Walmart Goodyear Authority tires, I had some for about 300 miles and ditched them. Way too soft tread compound. Put any weight on them and they were squirrely.
How does the sidewall feel on these tires? I have heard that there is considerable sidewall flex on these? I have a 2010 F350 and I'm going to be hauling campers and trailers and need something that will feel stable on the highway? How do you guys think they work?
I'd also like to hear more about these. The previous owner of my truck put the cheapest 305's he could on it. Man it's scary to drive in the snow and want to step down in size to an E rated 285.
