Statler Brothers

What is the name of the Statler Brothers band?

Were they the same band that they have had for their carrer....even during the early years with Lew?

I thought the name of the band was "The Statler Brothers". I have many, many Statler Brothers records, tapes and CD's and never really thought about the musicians that back up the vocals.

The four guys were indeed the Stater Brothers....but I am curious about the musicians....

I looked at several old Statler Brothers albums and couldn't find any mention of a band name. I'm thinking they used hired musicians and didn't have a regular band.

Like their music. A friend of mine recently gave me a copy of their comedy albums they put out "Lester Road Hog Moran and His Cadillac Cowboys". Good stuff.
