cruse-o-matic ?
I have a 1965 F250 with a "heavy duty cruse-o-matic". I just purchased a engine and with a cruse-o-matic on it, it is from a 1965 LTD. Is the one in my truck the same as the one out of the LTD or is the one in the truck a different trans?

cruse-o-matic ?
Ford called several different transmissions cruise-o-matic. I would think that the '65s would be C4s. I have rebuilt a lot of c4s. The ones behind a V8 from the factory have more clutches than the ones behind the I6. Also the truck transmission has additional clutches and a heavy roller bearing and yoke on the tailshaft that the car transmission does not have. My feeling: truck to car-ok, car to truck-no. Especially NOT I6 car to V8 truck.
