Rich Congrats on the Factory Push Bar, good score. I think the world of you BUT................. You ain't getten mine. The RV is going back to storage SOON. I want my truck back................ Water leaks are fixed, I hope. Hope to mount the generator in the new "Generator Box" we found oddly enough on Craigslist in Springfield. Friends are coming down for the Fourth of July, it's gonna get dumb again, I can feel it. Last year my buddy Rich (from Independence) passed out in the road, flat on his back, in front of Ka'Bluey. Photo oppritunity............... Drunk on riding lawnmowers, lawn mower racing, and drunk... I mean tug of wars with riders. My buddy even STOLE a neighbors rider and went riding down the hill.
He say's "I didn't steal it, I knew what I was doing". Y'all are envited........

....having spent four and half hours mowing yesterday, I'm going to go outside and finish the other half of the yard.

Sheesh.

Bob it sound alot funner at your parties, than ones I usually get stuck going to. lol
Last year I went to one, at someone house who I didn't know, rode with friends because I knew I'd be drinking, well the daughter of the people I rode with, took off in the truck and it broke down at the gas station, so my friends went to go get her and left me there. Finally 2 hours later they came back, with their little car, 8 of us had to squeeze into it, yeah that was fun. I ended up passing out on their couch, still groggy with a massive hang over, he gets me up in the morning to go fix the truck. let me tell you thats an enjoyable experience when you can't see straight.
But that doesn't even top this. I went to a New Years Eve party with the same friends several years ago at someones house who I didn't know. and there was an ice storm not the 2007 one. I was stuck at this house for 3 days because my truck was stuck and all the other vehicles solid in the gravel driveway. The third day i finally was able to break enough ice off my tool box to get into and get my hammer and chissle to break the 1 1/2 inches of ice off my windsheild and door so i could get into it.
The only upside to this whole mess was iI ended up pulling 3 cars out of the ditches on the way home and made some cash.

 

2 fords, sounds like you need to only go to parties where you know the folks that own the house. The 4th at UnkBobs sounds like a U-tube video oppertunity.

Any one interested in a mini FTE GTG at my house, around end july/first part of aug? Or maybe a GTG at SMORR or at that offroad park outside of Fairplay (see attached flyer in previous post)?

Penny's eye surgery should be a simple deal, I hope! So kick around the idea, Unk Bob you could bring the RV, I am not to excited about a chebby being on my property.LOL

We could attack my local junk yard in force, as long as we don't get in a fight over parts.

Yeah that's true, but I have no social life, so I just tag along with friends that do. lol
The mini get together sounds good to me, don't have to worry about fighting over parts , I don't have any of those ancient trucks lol. I'll be over in the 90's trucks section.

 

You might be pretty lonely in that section, I have only seen 1 or 2 90ish Fords like that there.

I last time I looked they were gone, with the economic times like they are, people are fixing up there trucks.

Alot of the once complete 73-79 Ford trucks up there, are stripped to the frame of all the good parts.

 

I've noticed in the last year or so, that there are more and more older trucks on the roads. It's like people are having to get rid of their newer trucks for whatever reasons, and getting their old ones back on the road.

 

A mini/what ever happens gtg at you're place sounds pretty nice Rich. Could end up somewhere near or in Seymor........... Gonna get the RV out of the drive way by the middle of next week. I want Ka'Bluey back, the fourth is coming up and my buddy's daughter and her cousin love that truck. It's the main driver when they're in town.
Yes the fourth is allway's a blast..................... We haven't taken any video before but there are some really good pictures floating around.

 

Good Morning All, just a quick NJ Drive By....getting ready to take the middle daughter to the Transformer movie at the IMAX theater....

My wife has always wanted to go to the drive in theater and was REALLY wanting to see the new Transformers. I surprised her big time when we got there last night since i didnt tell her where we where going. Way worth the hour drive.

 

Y'all are gonna LOVE THIS...... Specially you Rich, my buddie.......... The gtg at you're place after you get home, and you and Penny get Re-aquainted sounds great. You won't have to worry bout the RV (Chebby) being on you're prpoerty.
I got up early as usuall, kicked the rooster in the *** to get the day started, let the dog's out, fed and watered. Watered both garden and flower bed. Got the box for the generator bolted down on the motorhome. Here on known as the "D@mn Chebby".
Shari and my helper son, Tim are still passed out, so I fire up the D@mn Chebby to take it back to storage, so I can have my driveway, and my 79/Ka'Bluey back home. I get to the lot (a friend ownes), he has taken this saturday off............ I was heading home to bring the "Damn Chebby" back to the house and just swap monday after my Physical Therapy.
Well the tranny on the D@mn Chebby started slipping. I made it to a (not so) conviant store. Bought the last two quarts of Dextron the had on the shelf, tranny was just a litle low. That did NOTHING!!!! but get reverse back. Well by this time my gasket has blown, any of you that met/know me knows, this is NOT ATTRACTIVE.......... More tranny fluid is added, it has got to be full, possibly over some. Still a good reverse, nothing for a forward gear at all.
But with only a $60 tow the "Damn Chebby" is back at the storage lot, Ka'Bluey is back home where he belongs. And the D@amn Chebby is likely to find it's way back onto Craigslist where I found it. There's a sucker born every minute.......... And it's somebody else's turn to get licked...........
Sorry for the LONG post but I have some drinking.......... I mean venting to get out.
